Fall Prep Comp: Expectations

Registration:

Competitors can sign up for up to one each of the following events: Strictly, Jack & Jill, and Line Dancing.

All three events will have an upper and lower skill division.

Competitors may sign up for only one skill division in each event. Strictly and Jack & Jill events must be at the same level. You may, however, compete in a different skill division in Line Dancing.

If you are competing with an upper level partner, but are a lower level dancer, you must compete at the upper level.

Rules

Lifts and acrobatic stunts are allowed ONLY in the UPPER LEVEL STRICTLY division. Lifts performed in other divisions or events will constitute at minimum a reduction in score or up to disqualification of the competitors performing them.

Performances that are crass, offensive, or overly sexualized are not tolerated and will result in disqualification of the competitors performing them.

Dancers must complete each performance with in their dance space (Strictly/J&J), or with in rank and file (Line Dance). Dancers who intentionally move their dance space or move out of rank or file will be disqualified.

Moves which intentionally create dangerous situations, actions that intentionally harm a performer, judge, staff, or spectator, or dances which due to lack of control harm a performer, judge, staff, or spectator, will be result in disqualification of the competitors performing these actions.

Disqualification is not means for a refund.

Scoring Groups

Strictly: Partners are scored as a couple in all performances.

Jack & Jill: competitors will be scored separate from their partners, except for finals where they will be scored as a couple.

Line Dance: competitors are all scored separately in all performances.
